Anyone interested in a plugin for post stats like Medium?

I’ve created a lightweight plugin inspired by Medium to track blog stats right inside WordPress. It’s simple, easy to use, and won’t slow your site.

Here’s what it does:

  • Tracks unique views, reads, and the read ratio in a clear layout.
  • Works with comments and claps (or likes) using a Medium-style share bar.
  • Fully GDPR-compliant, so privacy is covered.

No complicated setup—just install, activate, and start seeing stats.

It tracks views and reads for both logged-in and guest users. You can decide which post categories to enable it on. It only adds about 7kb to the frontend for tracking.

I’m thinking about releasing it on my site. What do you all think?

I’ve updated the stats layout. It now shows detailed tracking for views and engagement. Thinking of adding advanced filtering options next—would that make it better? Open to suggestions!
