Hey all, I’m looking for a WordPress email plugin. It’s not for marketing but more for notifying users about changes. If it can also do marketing, that’s a bonus.
By ‘native,’ I mean it should allow emailing users who already have accounts on the site without needing to re-add them as contacts. It should also let me set up my own SMTP server.
I’ve been browsing the plugin list on the official WordPress site, but there are so many options, and I’ve tested a few that turned out to be either not secure, had limited features, or were too expensive.
If anyone knows a solid option, please share. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been using Brevo (used to be SendinBlue) on the free plan, and it’s been great.
Just started using Brevo too. Had a terrible experience with SendGrid—my account got locked immediately after signing up, and support wasn’t helpful. Brevo was smooth, quick, and free!
Honestly, managing an SMTP server isn’t for everyone. If you’re not familiar with handling its reputation, you might want to stick with something like Mailchimp. Also, make sure your users actually opted in for marketing.
