I’m building a site with Divi and need a way for guest users to upload images directly from the front end. The images wouldn’t go live right away—they’d wait for admin approval.
Ideally, every new batch of images would create its own gallery. I’ve tried several plugins, but none quite do the trick. The closest I found was Foo Gallery with the User Uploads add-on, but it only lets guests upload to an existing gallery.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Foo Gallery with User Uploads add-on
ImagePress
Modula
NextGEN Gallery
Picture Gallery
User Submitted Posts
WP User Frontend
Some of these create a new post with the images, but the formatting isn’t quite right. I might need to hire some help if I can’t figure it out. Any recommendations are appreciated!
If you’re open to a bit of customization, using the ACF plugin with a front-end form plugin could help you set up a custom image upload form. This would likely need some coding, so hiring a developer could be a good option.
Here are a few resources for finding WordPress developers:
Have you checked out Robo Gallery (Photo Gallery, Images, Slider in Rbs Image Gallery – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org) for any projects? Our team can add an image upload feature to it at no cost if that’s something you need. We usually try to add features based on user requests, so if this sounds helpful, we might be able to add it in the next update. Robo Gallery is getting a big update soon with new features like an updated grid, lightbox, albums, new gallery sources, and more.
