I’m really into FOOGALLERY, but I’m looking for something a bit different… a gallery where every single image has its own URL, not just a pop-up with no link. I want each uploaded image to have its own page and URL, so I can share each image on social media directly. Does any WordPress gallery work like this?
Hey,
Modula does this. The free version allows image URLs like you’re asking for, but you’d need to get the Deeplink add-on (paid) if you want the link to open that image directly in a lightbox.
Quick heads up: I’m the founder of wp-modula.com.
PS: You can try the free version on w[dot]org to see if it fits what you need. There’s also a free migration tool from Foo to Modula.
@Sam
Nice! How’s the migration tool for a basic FooGallery?

We’ve had folks move over 1000+ galleries without issues. So for basic FooGallery setups, it should work just fine.

How much does the Deeplink add-on cost?

It’s part of our $99/year plan, but you can get a 15% discount if you use the exit-intent popup on the checkout page.
@Sam
Can I keep Foo installed but disabled while I test Modula?
I’m guessing I can, so there’s really no risk in trying it out.
One more thing… does Modula have a way to stop people from right-clicking to download images? Foo had a cool warning you could customize that showed up if someone tried to download an image.
@Emerson
Yep, you can keep Foo installed while testing Modula. We have the same image protection, though no custom message for it right now.
I’ll pass along the idea to our dev team about adding a custom warning. It’s a solid feature!
