I’m working on a plugin, but I’m having a tough time finding my first users to collaborate with. I feel like I’m building it in isolation without real feedback from users. Any suggestions on how I can find a group of people to build this product together?

First, how did you come up with the idea for the plugin?
Also, have you thought about submitting it to the official plugin repository?
A while back, my brother and I helped people set up their WordPress sites and fix issues. Now, we’re thinking about automation tools for those problems. But the people we helped back then have moved on, so I’m unsure if those problems still exist or if we’re creating a solution for a problem that isn’t there. I believe talking to real users would help us. I plan to submit the plugin once it’s ready for everyone. I just want to make sure we have the right solution.

What problems are you trying to solve? I’d be happy to beta test or give feedback.
Thanks! The idea is to empower non-techie WordPress users to customize and maintain their sites without relying on someone else to build things for them. I’ll DM you to set up a quick demo.
I’m not trying to discourage you from building something, but if you can identify several medium-sized businesses willing to pay for your product and work with you to improve it, go for it.
What you think the market needs can be very different from what it actually needs. I learned this the hard way, and it cost me a lot back in 2008, along with a significant personal loss that still affects me today.
