I need a plugin that lets me upload images directly to a third-party storage service. I want to skip my server completely for this project. Any suggestions would be really appreciated…

You should check out cloudinary.

Have a look at WP Offload Media Lite. It works well with Amazon S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, and Google Cloud Storage.
